The Peasant & The Pear

This place never disappoints!! The food is so fresh and absolutely delicious! It makes you feel GOOD while you're eating it! The service is very professional and is very tentative to all of their customers. The ambiance is very lively and the restaurant is never empty! This is a very popular Danville restaurant that includes outdoor/ indoor seating, a full bar, and a wide variety of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. My family and I have been going here for years and it tastes better every time! It's great for work lunches, family dinners, graduation dinners, birthday dinners. I absolutely recommend trying it if you have not already!

Outstanding meal and service at The Peasant & the Pear. I have Celiac Disease and am gluten free, so I ordered "The Valley" burger on a gluten free bun with a side of Calabrian chili, paired with a side salad with lime vinaigrette. It was spectacular. So amazing. I paired it with a ginger beer (gluten free) which was phenomenal as well. Service was incredible. My servers name was Memo (Guillermo) and he was so accommodating with my allergy and provided exceptional service. He was so welcoming, attentive and hospitable. Highly recommend this establishment.

So Good!! I often get the smoked chicken sandwich and it is wonderful! I will be back soon!

Peasant and the Pear is a classic Danville restaurant. They've been in two locations but the food remains top quality! The atmosphere at the new location isn't as intimate as the last, but it's nice and open and provides several areas to eat, inside or out. The staff is always very helpful! Certainly worth a visit!

Surprisingly, very good. The decor is not too nice, but comfortable -- the bar is the best feature. The food was great, and others I saw served at other tables looked so good. Have you seen the Rodzilla Burger? A work of art. With a glass of one of fav red wines, I ordered the NY Steak and fries [$37, 4.5 stars]. Cooked to perfection with herb-garlic butter melted atop, I loved it, and would order it again (and again). The gf and her daughter both got pizzas, and they were so happy with them. I liked.

All the food was great. I didn't get to snap a shot of the Pear Quesadilla, but that was my favorite dish we ordered. It is an appetizer, however it is big enough to just be its own meal. The Lamb is recommended to order. The seasoning goes well with the gamey taste of lamb. The pork chop was a little more on the sweeter side, so be prepared for that. The rodzilla burger was very filling. That burger should be split between two people. I want to also acknowledge the staff. Our waiter knew the menu inside and out and came with great recommendations. He recommended that we substitute the polenta with mashed potatoes with polenta's flavoring being too overpowering for the lamb. We went with it and it was awesome. Looking forward to coming back !

Really great experience at The Peasant & The Pear! I enjoyed the ambiance here. The service was great and our waitress was really kind. The food was delicious and hit the spot. I would say that I hoped the caesar salad had croutons on it but that's a minor detail. The salad felt a little one dimensional with just lettuce and added chicken, but it tasted good! I'd definitely come back to try some of their other pizzas another time!
